Enable HTTP log on Sun Application Server during Load Testing

I'm in Bangkok this week to help in conducting a Performance Test for a Single Sign-On and Identity Management project.

Before the Performance Test starts, I want to ensure that the load-balancer is configured properly to distribute load evenly to the 2 Sun Access Manager and the 2 Sun Identity Manager.

Both components are deployed on Sun Java System Application Servers. However, the server.log is not moving when we tried to access the index.html page.

We realized Sun Application Server, by default, does not track HTTP requests. In order to track HTTP requests, we need to execute the following steps:

1. Go to Logging -> Log Levels

2. Default is INFO. (Not good enough)

3. Set to FINEST.

4. Click SAVE. (You do not need to restart the Application Server)

Nice!
